I had a field day with my colleagues during night shift yesterday because we started telling each other ghost stories. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ghost stories. I'm absolutely fascinated by the supernatural. Of course this totally contradicts with the fact that I would like nothing more than to stay as far away from 'them' as possible.
*Warning: Do NOT continue reading if you're a scaredy cat. I do not want to be responsible for you having sleepness nights, nightmares, or seeing/hearing imaginary things that are not there.*
We discussed second and third-hand eyewitness accounts about spirits seen and 'smelled' around our office. There have been stories of people hearing their names called from just outside the ladies washroom in the middle of the night. The voice will sound like another colleague's voice, however upon being questioned, that colleague would deny ever leaving the office. (That happened to me once when I was new - a friend had heard me calling her name from outside the toilet, but I had been at my desk the entire time). Another person had passed a middle aged lady wearing a 'tudung' (a headscarf worn by Malay women) who was entering the washroom while she was exiting it. The person stopped to chat with a friend just outside the washroom, and shortly after, decided to go back into the washroom (I have no idea why, women just seem to love being in the washroom for some reason). However, upon entering the washroom, she found that it was empty. Anyone who has been to the washroom (which is located outside of my office) will know that there is only 1 possible entry and exit (unless you're smaller than a monkey)
After hours of entertaining each other with stories, we finally ran out of new stories to tell and moved on to searching for more stories on the internet. Two of the topics we searched about was the infamous, supposedly haunted Ria and Amber Court apartments in Genting. Though I'm far from skeptical, to be fair I've never personally visited both those places...nor do I ever intend to! Now, both these places were said to have chains on the doors of certain apartments, along with Chinese prayer paper (also called a fu) pasted in the shape of a large X. The spiritual presence in these apartments were apparently too strong and too nasty for management to allow further guests to stay in. Certain apartments even had prayer materials such as red candles and food offerings outside the door. Even with such precautions, there have been tales of dark shadows seen moving around, knockings on walls and doors in the middle of the night, sourceless voices heard, and some people have even seen these things floating mid-air outside the windows of their rented apartment.
After listening to and reading so many stories of such occurrences, I've gotta say, its left me craving for more! LOL.If you have your own stories, be sure to leave them in the comments box!
